reflection

This week I focused on making another version of photos with black backgrounds. I tried using only white lighting because the photos before were too focused on coloured lights, which could seem repetitive. Since It was the same process as before, I started to lose interest, but the results looked better with several versions, the one made with yellow PVC and clear plastic paper. My plan for the exhibition is to hang three prototypes on the bag holder, hang the main installation, and make two photo books of the prototypes. ( coloured and mono ) I visited the photographer's gallery for inspiration which was closed for a while. The work there was quite different from my expectation, but I found an interesting photo book which was with mirrors, so I decided to make mine with chrome paper. Before trying with photos of my work I tried cutting out some pictures from the magazine to look at the colour match with chrome paper. It didn't have any meaning in it but it simply looked visually good so I decided to work with chrome paper. Since my accommodation didn't have colour prints, I printed out black and white to look at the layout and the mood. The monochrome matched so well with chrome papers it somehow looked like a drawing when seen from a distance.
